I don’t have these, but I wish I did.In our eyes this is one of the most exquisite pieces of modern body jewelry we’ve seen. These were a long term collaborative work between Onetribe (design and stone work) and Quetzalli (gold filigree and setting).
We designed these gorgeous pieces to include rare cherry red Chiapas amber set into a gold filigree bezel setting atop flowers carved from ivoryite stone. Drawings were sent to our friends at Quetzalli in Mexico City with notes about the project and they were given creative freedom to do what they needed to do to make this piece work with such small detail. Ana and company did not disappoint! The skill level needed to accomplish this by hand is quite impressive. We then set the amber into its final setting and finished carving the ivoryite Mayan flowers into which the whole assembly was affixed with proprietary hardware. The pieces are hollow and as you’ll see in the photo, light shines through the amber and it glows beautifully. The size of these pieces is 1/2” (12.7mm) and the faces measure a mere 3/4” (19mm) from side to side).
